  1. help - setting a special hardwarefilter                            09.09.92
  2. You can set a special hardwarefilter of the ethernet box.
  3. There are four possibilities.
  4.  
  5. ≤The box receives:≥
  6.  (1) - ⌠all packets⌡ (default setting)  or
  7.  (2) - only packets sent to the choosen ≤hardwareadress≥ or
  8.  (3) - (2) and ≤Broadcasts≥  or
  9.  (4) - (3) and ≤Multicasts≥.
  10.  
  11. Only the parameters load, kBytes per second, transitions,
  12. mean packetlength measured by hardware and collisions are
  13. ≤not≥ affected by this hardwarefilter.

  15. ≤All other net parameters are affected!≥
